Kermit the Frog said, "It's not easy being green." but I have to say it's a fun color to capture. I love warm weather and all things green, and in Norfolk and all across Virginia, we get beautiful greens as summer quickly approaches. You will get to see some of my favorites. A criss-cross pattern of the daylilies in my yard after a spring rain. The mountains of Virginia lush and beautiful. A Lilly pond just starting to come to life. Two of my favorite vegetables asparagus and Brussel sprouts. The fabulous green chairs inside GPatton Salon in Norfolk. A savory pie using the swiss chard from my garden. A couple of green memories; one of the courses at the French Laundry and a very green window at Bergdorf's in New York.
Let me know what you think of my selections and next month is pearl, so if you see some opaque white that needs to be featured, send me a message.
This is part of a year-long project to refresh my creativity and train my eye a little more on seeing colors. Throughout 2021 I will post images at the end of each month that will have some relationship to that month's birthstone/color. Some of the photographs will be of my regular work, but hopefully, most will come from new content I see throughout the month. Training myself to slow down and see the area around me differently.
