I have to be honest that I had no idea turquoise was the birthstone color for December; I just knew it would be red. It was a pleasant surprise and made my month more fun and challenging.
The first image is of a holiday cocktail called a hpnotini using Hpnotiq. The second is a painting by Esther Mahlangu at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. Next is an older project but has always been one of my favorites, a turquoise kitchen from a shoot with VBHomes. Fourth is a bit of Christmas decorations, and this snowflake light has caught my eye on my morning walks with my dog. Then we have another piece of art from the museum, Gourd Mask by Reginal W. Tupponce; the blue on the cheek just popped out. Finally, a special one, a Tiffany's Tea Cup, it's special because, throughout the year on this project, I have had one person who has consistently supported me with great comments on the color project. I know how much she loves Tiffany's, so this one is for her.
The year has gone by fast. This is the final blog post on the color project. I have learned a lot about seeing color differently, so it was successful. If you had a favorite month, I'd love to know which one.
This is part of a year-long project to refresh my creativity and train my eye a little more on seeing colors. Throughout 2021 I will post images at the end of each month that will relate to that month's birthstone/color. Some of the photographs will be of my regular work, architecture, drone, or food, but hopefully, some will come from new content I see throughout the month. I trained myself to slow down and see the area around me differently.

Nicki S Gibson - December!! Mostly because you ended this shoot with the best blue!!! Tiffany!! My favorite photo. You should have come to house to take that picture!!! I have over 175 boxes!!! With ribbon I live the turquoise blue kitchen also stunning you are the best you should be number one in Virginia if not and I’m across the nation with your style your precision and your eye for photography you truly are amazing
