This past fall, I was lucky enough to photograph for ALIWORLD magazine, and what made it really special was that it was for a local Hampton Roads business, YNOT Italian. Tony and Cyndi DiSilvestro received over $50,000 in Metro shelving product to remodel the back of their Virginia Beach location. It's a small space, and they made the most of it in this busy location.
Usually, when people think of editorial photography for a magazine, it will be a grand location on the water. Still, in reality, it all depends on what type of photography is required for the magazine. Normally I am in the front of the restaurant photographing the dining space or food, but this was all about the back of the house. This small space changed into a great efficient, clean space which works so much better for the YNOT crew. Wheeled carts for the hundreds of containers of rising pizza dough, shelving for the order delivery area, new prep area, and everything is now organized and labeled.
