I have always loved traveling to Napa Valley. The first time I went was in 2006. I took a photo class in San Francisco and went to the city a little early to be a tourist. I decided to take a day trip to Napa; I fell in love with the valley. The wineries, landscape, and food were incredible. Since then, I have returned several times. I usually go at least every other year. 2020 was going to be one of those years. Of course, Covid-19 changed that.
Now with the wildfires and so many places I have visited being devastated, I wanted to let everyone see what keeps me coming back. It is the three things I love to photograph, food, wine, and architecture. I get to fill the creative well when I visit.
A great way to help support them during this time is to buy some California wine, Napa, Sonoma, or any part of the wine country. I know it brightens my day when one of those boxes shows up here in Norfolk, Virginia.
I hope you enjoy these images. Let me know in the comments if you have traveled there and your favorite wineries.
